Welcome to the 2002 Rally Season.

It's been a long summer break. We have been busy preparing and updating the car for this years 2002 Rock FM / Winger Top Half Series. We stripped the interior of the car, welded panel steel into the bungs. This effectively seals the cockpit from mud and water. We stripped the dashboard, lightened and insulated the demisting air vents. The dashboard was Flocked (which is anti-staticly attached, very similar to velvet). The cockpit and boot were then repainted white. Our engine bay was next on the list, we removed the engine, stripped the anciliaries off, checked the bottom end and gave it a general tidy-up. Whilst the engine was out, the engine bay was repainted, and we added braided fuel lines and top-secret turret enhancements, along with an enhanced strut brace system.

This year we will be concentrating on the entire Winger Subaru / Rock FM Top Half Series. This starts in Hamilton on April 6th, and consists of five events this year. For more info, click here. Our goal for this season is top 10 finishes on each rally, and a top 3 placing in our class in the series. Each round will have the Neil Allport Pace Note system, and will mean we will have a better idea of the road, and be able to attack the stages a bit more.

First event of 2002 is 24th March, a dual rallysprint based in Pukekohe. It will be a good test, as it is two stages, each 9km long, and they are nice tight twisty roads. We will be in touch th more details of the first event of the 2002 season.

Thx
