Hi All
The Performance
Finance & Leasing /Turner Motorsport team of Dylan Turner and
Sandy Bansal head to Masterton this weekend for the third round
of the 2005 Parker ENZED New Zealand Rally Championship, Racetech
Rally Wairarapa.
The event, based
around Masterton consists of 12 Special Stages totaling approx 267km
of gravel roads with the Performance Finance & Leasing /Turner
Motorsport Evo 6 seeded at 11th at close of entry.
The team had
another terrible time in Otago much like last year where the little
things that went wrong ended up costing large amounts of time.
They encountered
brake problems or the complete lack of brakes in one stage which
resulted in slight brush with the scenery and had some timing issues
that dropped them down to 11th o/a, not the result they were looking
for.
"We really
didn't have a good run at Otago, lot's of small things contributed
to an event both Sandy and I would much rather forget result-wise,
but we had fun rallying on the great roads in Dunedin", explains
Turner.
"Now we
head to a rally a lot of us haven't done and it is on county gravel
roads, much like the Rally of the North where we got a 4th overall
last year. So hopefully this event will suit me some more and we
can have a real go at a top 7 finish.
"The added
inspiration is my partner Sara is co-driving for Sarah Kemp in her
Evo 8, so there will be some healthy competition during the event
in the Turner household", says Turner.
The team would
like to thank our sponsors for the 2005 Parker ENZED New Zealand
Rally Championship - Performance Finance and Leasing, LJ Hooker
Manurewa, AB Panel and Paint, Team Evolution, Dunlop, Chiropractic
and Sport and Dale Perry from Rally Drive NZ for all his assistance.
Til next time.
