The Performance
Finance & Leasing /Turner Motorsport team of Dylan Turner and
Sandy Bansal set off this weekend for the fifth round of the 2005
Parker ENZED New Zealand Rally Championship, Bayswater Vehicles
Hawkes Bay Rally.
With a long
lay off since the last round in Rotorua a lot of work has gone into
the car to keep it in top form for the 170km of special stages this
Saturday.

Performance have stripped and checked the gearbox and other driveline
components and the Turner Motorsport team has given the Performance
Finance & Leasing /Turner Motorsport EVO 6 a complete check
to give Dylan and Sandy the best vehicle to attack the Hawkes Bay
roads with.
"Once we
had the car preparation sorted, we spent a half day at Rally Drive
NZ (thanks to Dale Perry) testing and tuning it. We spent a lot
of time sorting out suspension settings with Gary Capper and have
found some settings that seem to give us more mid corner grip."
explains Turner.
"We have
managed to get close to a second a kilometre out of the car on the
test road with the new settings, so we are looking forward to converting
this to faster stages times at Hawkes Bay and bettering our previous
results this year."
The goal for
the team at Hawkes Bay is for another step forward in car speed
to build on the consistent stage times and results achieved so far.
During the 2005
season the team have consistently been in the top 7 cars and have
set top 5 times on a regular basis to be 8th o/a in the 2005 Parker
ENZED New Zealand Rally Championship.
The Bayswater
Vehicles Hawkes Bay Rally gets underway at the Centennial Hall,
McLean's Park at 6.30pm Friday 29th in Napier city. The cars then
hit the 170km of special stages on Saturday in the Wairoa area with
the final stage 'Triple Bridges' in-between Napier and Hastings.
The cars then finish at Napier on Saturday afternoon with a 6pm
ceremonial finish at Napier's McLean Park.
