This is always a great day, a chance to give the people that provide
sponsorship and roads which allow us to rally the chance to see
what it is really like, or in others words, "great fun and
I get to scare six passengers".
The
car went well, no major problems but our spare diff isn't as good
as our new one which we broke up north
last weekend. We
had two spins which was a little unusual. I think it was due to
it being a little unstable under braking due to the diff.
A
big thanks to my passengers, it is good to see old faces and some
new ones. Without your help Rally New Zeland would not be the great
rally it is.
Now
we look forward to the King
of Tarmac in Cambridge on the 31st Aug and 1st Sept. The event
will take place over two days. The first day consisting of 4 runs
up Sanatorium Hill, a 3km hill climb, the first run a practice run,
then 3 timed runs. The times from each run will be combined to determine
the top ten qualifiers, these qualifiers will then have a top 10
shoot-out.
The second day
will consist of 4 runs around the 9km stage known as Kairangi
Loop, the first run a practice run, with 3 timed runs. The
times from each run will be combined to determine the top ten qualifiers,
these qualifiers will then have a top 10 shoot-out. A total of $6000.00
prize money is up for grabs.
Til
the next event...
Thx
